A pregnancy ultrasound is an imaging test that uses high frequency sound waves to create pictures of a baby in the womb, as well as the mother's reproductive organs. The average number of ultrasounds varies with each pregnancy and should only be used when medically indicated.

A nuchal scan (NT procedure) is a sonographic prenatal screening scan (ultrasound) to detect cardiovascular abnormalities in a fetus, though altered extracellular matrix composition and limited lymphatic drainage can also be detected. It is done between 11 weeks plus two days and 14 weeks plus one day of pregnancy or when your baby measures between 45mm (1.8in) and 84mm (3.3in)

This detailed ultrasound scan, sometimes called the mid-pregnancy or 20-week scan, is usually carried out when you are between 18 and 21 weeks pregnant. The scan checks for major physical abnormalities in your baby.

3D ultrasound is a medical ultrasound technique, often used in obstetric ultrasonography (during pregnancy), providing three-dimensional images of the fetus.. 4D fetal ultrasounds are similar to 3D scans, with the difference associated with time: 4D allows a 3-dimensional picture in real time, rather than delayed, due to the lag associated with the computer constructed image, as in classic 3-dimensional ultrasound.

cardiotocography (CTG) is a technical means of recording the fetal heartbeat and the uterine contractions during pregnancy. The machine used to perform the monitoring is called a cardiotocograph, more commonly known as an electronic fetal monitor (EFM).

A pelvic ultrasound is a noninvasive diagnostic exam that produces images that are used to assess organs and structures within the female pelvis. A pelvic ultrasoundallows quick visualization of the female pelvic organs and structures including the uterus, cervix, vagina, fallopian tubes and ovaries.

A transvaginal ultrasound is a type of pelvicultrasound used by doctors to examine female reproductive organs. This includes the uterus, fallopian tubes, ovaries, cervix, and vagina. “Transvaginal” means “through the vagina.” This is an internal examination.

A follicle tracking ultrasound scan is an examination to measure the size of any active follicles in the ovaries that can contain an egg. The scan is useful to accurately predict when ovulation might be expected to maximize the chances of the egg being fertilized by natural means. In the case of fertility treatment the ultrasound scan will determine how many follicles are present and when egg extraction is best performed.

Endometrial biopsy, or endometrial sampling, is a technique of removing a piece of tissue from the inner lining of the uterus. The sample of tissue is analyzed under a microscope in the laboratory by a pathologist, a doctor with special training in diagnosis of diseases based upon tissue examination. IT IS often performed to help determine the cause of abnormal uterine bleeding. It can also be done to help evaluate the cause of infertility, test for uterine infections, and even monitor the response to certain medications.

Post operative cares as well as removal of sutures are done to alleviate pain and prevent infection after operation.

Colposcopy is a way for your doctor to use a special magnifying device to look at your vulva, vagina , and cervix . If a problem is seen during colposcopy, a small sample of tissue (biopsy) may be taken from the cervix or from inside the opening of the cervix (endocervical canal).

An IUD is a tiny device that's inserted in your uterus to prevent pregnancy. It's long-term, reversible, and one of the most effective birth control methods

Norplant is a provider-controlled, hormonal contraceptive for women that prevents pregnancy for five years after a single application.

Perineoplasty (also perineorrhaphy) denotes the plastic surgery procedures used to correct clinical conditions (damage, defect, deformity) of the vagina and the anus.

It is a minimally invasive, gentle, efficient and safe procedure without any incisions or anaesthesia. Vaginal rejuvenation is designed as a therapy with maximum comfort for women. It is a functional and aesthetic vulvo-vaginal laser treatment and also reconstructive and cosmetic surgery. The procedure involves applying micro laser impacts and ensuring that healthy tissue is left between these impacts. The fractional technique rejuvenate the vaginal area and functions by thickening connective and epithelial tissue to improve tropism, tonicity and elasticity.

High Vaginal Swab (HVS) is a technique used in Obstetrics and Gynaecology to obtain a sample of discharge from the vagina. This is then sent for culture and sensitivity. It is commonly used to test for the presence of candidiasis infection, bacterial vaginosis and trichomonas vaginalis.

A Pap smear (also called a Pap test) is a screening procedure for cervical cancer. It tests for the presence of precancerous or cancerous cells on the cervix, the opening of the uterus.

VPIII Microbial Identification Test is the first direct specimen DNA probe-based diagnostic test for the differential detection and identification of the causative agents for vaginitis: Candida species, Gardnerella vaginalis and Trichomonas vaginalis.

Root canal treatment in our dental clinic will help ease symptoms and usually restore the tooth. This involves protecting the tooth area and freezing. The dentist makes a tiny opening in order to reach the pulp which is removed. The root canal is enlarged, filled and sealed. This procedure has a high rate of success. It usually takes 1 to 2 visits to complete in our dental clinic. In rare cases, a re-treatment is needed, where the process is repeated.

Here at Ultra Medical Center, the removal of old amalgam fillings for new cosmetic tooth colored restorations is a simple solution to improving your smile. Often amalgam fillings can give the tooth a greyish appearance which darkens the smile. If you have maintained a healthy smile for many years, and have no amalgam fillings, then a white tooth colored filling will ensure the aesthetics of your smile remains at its best.

Tooth Colored/Composite Filling Procedure

Your dentist may anaesthetize (numb) the tooth and will remove all dental caries (dental decay) or existing

amalgam/silver fillings in readiness for placement of the tooth coloured restoration. The white filling material is

bonded to the cavity and a blue light is shone onto the material to set it. After your tooth coloured filling has been

placed, your dentist will then smooth and contour the filling to ensure you can bite together comfortably and your tooth looks natural.

Gummy smile (excessive gingival display) is a condition in which a high lip-line exposes an abnormal amount of gingival tissue. Several potential factors could contribute to a gummy smile. For example, the muscle controlling the movement of the upper lip could be hyperactive, resulting in an upper lip that rises higher than normal. When this occurs, more of the gingival tissue is exposed when smiling. Other factors can include, but are not limited to, delayed passive eruption and factors related to the dentogingival complex.

Here is some Treatment at Ultra Medical Center for Gummy Smiling:

  • Gummy Smile treatment to loosen the join between the gums and the upper lip
  • Gummy Smile myotomy operation
  • Botox injections for the elevation muscle of the upper lip
  • Surgical correction of the gums
  • Cosmetic dentistry

Nitrous Oxide Gas Sedation System, commonly known as the laughing gas, offers the benefit of relaxation with no loss of consciousness. It is not intended to put you to sleep. You will be able to hear and respond to any requests or directions the dentist may have Nitrous oxide is a safe and effective sedative agent that is mixed with oxygen and inhaled through a small mask that fits over your nose to help you relax.
A mixture of nitrous oxide and oxygen is inhaled through the nose and mouth before a planned dental procedure. Your dentist will ask you to breathe normally through your nose, and within a few short minutes you should start to feel the effects of the nitrous oxide. You may feel light-headed or a tingling in your arms and legs. Some people say their arms and legs feel heavy. Ultimately, you should feel calm, relaxed and comfortable with a warm-all-over feeling. The effects of nitrous oxide wear off soon after the mask is removed.

Safe and effective, the nitrous oxide sedation is the most common form of conscious sedation. Purpose of Nitrous Oxide Sedation is to:

Reduce fear, apprehension, or anxiety :

Raise pain reaction threshold

Reduce fatigue

Invisalign braces can give you a straighter smile faster than you think. You will be able to smile confidently during as well as after your treatment. Invisalign is the invisible way to straighten teeth using a series of clear, removable aligners to gradually straighten teeth, without metal or wires.

This treatment uses 3-D computer imaging technology to depict the complete  Invisalign treatment plan from the initial position to the final desired position from which a series of custom-made, clear Invisalign braces are produced. Each aligner moves teeth incrementally and is worn for about two weeks, then replaced by the next in the series until the final position is achieved.

Don’t let your smile hold you back. Some of the benefits Invisalign offers:

1)Invisalign Braces is clear

2)Invisalign Braces is Removable

3)Invisalign is Comfortable.

Ceramic crowns can replace damaged teeth that still have their root. Ceramic bridges, on the other hand, serve as a substitution for totally missing teeth.

A crown (sometimes known as a ‘cap’)is an artificial covering that fits over the remaining part of a prepared tooth, making it strong and giving it the shape of a natural tooth. Crowns are an ideal option for teeth that have been broken or have been weakened by decay or a very large filling. They can be made from a variety of materials, the most common of which are porcelain or gold or a combination of both. A dental crown could be used for a number of other reasons, for instance:

1)You may have discolored fillings and would like to improve the appearance of the tooth

2)You may have had a root filling which will need a crown to protect it

3)It may help hold a bridge or denture firmly in place

Bridge

Besides having dental implants, there are two main ways to replace missing teeth. The first is with a removable false tooth or teeth i.e. a partial denture. The second is with a fixed bridge.

The available technique for this are:

Periodontal surgery  One of the first, and still popular, techniques to be employed was the surgical removal of undesirable pigmentation using scalpels or surgical knives.

Gum Bleaching: Using proprietary bleaching solutions alter the coloration of the pigmentation directly. Since the cellular structures that create melanin are not removed, there is a likelihood that excess pigmentation can recur.

LASER Gum whitening :  Various dental lasers such as ER: YAG, Diode and Nd:YAG are all used successfully today for the removal of melanin pigments.

The procedure usually requires minimum or no infiltration local anesthesia. Procedure is pain free. Healing is fast and pain free.

Gingival depigmentation or Gum whitening is a periodontal plastic surgical procedure whereby the gingival hyper-pigmentation is removed or reduced by various techniques. The first and foremost indication for depigmentation is patient demand for improved aesthetics.

The available technique for this are:

Periodontal surgery – One of the first, and still popular, techniques to be employed was the surgical removal of undesirable pigmentation using scalpels or surgical knives.

Gum Bleaching – Using proprietary bleaching solutions alter the coloration of the pigmentation directly. Since the cellular structures that create melanin are not removed, there is a likelihood that excess pigmentation can recur.

The most commonly prescribed cosmetic dental procedure, many whitening options are now available to consumers. Dentist-supervised treatments remain the recommended procedures for lightening discolored teeth (according to the academy of cosmetic dentistry AACD). Hydrogen peroxide or carbamide peroxide is the most common active agent in the whitening products. It has been used for many years. People who want to have white teeth but can’t avoid activities that cause teeth discoloration may opt for teeth whitening procedures. These procedures are done in our dental clinic. These procedures are safe.

Most teeth whitening procedures are completed in just 2 to 4 hours. Some cases may need more than one teeth whitening session depending on the dentist’s assessment. The number of whitening sessions necessary also depends on how yellow or stained the teeth are. Patients are given whitening kits.

If a tooth has been broken or damaged by decay, your dentist will try to fix it with a filling, crown or other dental treatment. But when there's too much damage for the tooth to be repaired, the tooth may need to be extracted from its socket in the bone. There are two types of extractions.

1.A simple extraction

2.A surgical extraction

Physiotherapy

Physiotherapy, is a primary care specialty in medicine that, by using mechanical force and movements [Bio-mechanics or Kinesiology], Manual therapy, exercise therapy, electrotherapy and various physical therapies who practice evidence based treatments, remediates impairments and promotes mobility, function, and quality of life through examination, diagnosis, prognosis, and physical intervention. It is performed by physical therapists (known as physiotherapists in many countries).

Physiotherapists work across the lifespan continuum assisting patients with their pain in primary care settings with the aim of diminishing pain, improving quality of life where possible and preventing acute and sub-acute painful conditions developing into chronic pain.

Musculoskeletal Physiotherapists have expertise in the treatment of musculoskeletal (muscle and joint) conditions. Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy employs advanced clinical assessment and diagnosis methods.

Sports Physiotherapy is the specialised branch of physiotherapy which deals with injuries and issues related to sports people. Each sports physiotherapist usually has sport-specific knowledge that addresses acute, chronic and overuses injuries. Their services are generally available to sports men and women of all ages engaged in sports at any level of competition.

Knee pain or knee injuries are extremely common, and there are many causes. It is important to make an accurate diagnosis of the cause of your knee pain or injury so that appropriate treatment can be directed at the cause. Knee pain can arise from soft tissue injuries eg ligament sprains and muscle strains, bone conditions eg knee arthritis, Osgood Schlatters, and biomechanical dysfunction eg Patellofemoral syndrome.

Shoulder pain and injury are common. Your shoulder is the most mobile of all your joints. In most cases, if you are suffering shoulder pain it is because your muscles are simply not strong enough or they are uncoordinated.

Luckily, both of these dysfunctions can be normalised after a quality assessment and injury-specific exercises.

Neck pain or a stiff neck are extremely common can affect your life in so many different ways. Whether it be sharp neck pain, dull muscular aches, headache, or an inability to fully move your head, a sore neck can be very frustrating yet it's simple to fix in the majority of cases. There are many causes of neck pain. It is important to make an accurate diagnosis of the cause of your neck pain so that appropriate treatment can be directed at the cause.

Eighty percent (80%) of people will experience lower back pain at some stage of their life. It is one of the most common reasons for people missing work and seeing a doctor or physiotherapist. But lower back pain is something you can avoid with some inside knowledge, back care strategies and some back exercises.

Elbow pain and injury respond favourably to physiotherapy intervention when early treatment is sought.

An accurate diagnosis is vital to the correct management of your elbow pain. Elbow pain can be caused by local muscle, tendon or joint injury.

Wrist pain or injury is common and can usually be successfully diagnosed and treated by your physiotherapist. Wrist pain can occur as a result of sports injuries, work injuries or simply everyday arm use. An accurate diagnosis is vital to the correct management of your wrist pain. Wrist pain can be caused by local muscle, tendon or joint injury. Alternatively, wrist pain can be referred from your neck joints or a trapped nerve. Carpal tunnel syndrome is the best known nerve entrapment of the wrist.

Hip pain and joint injury are common for all age groups. The hip joint and its integration with your pelvis, SIJ and lumbar spine (lower back) make it a complex region to correctly analyse and assess any dysfunction.

Ankle injuries are extremely common. The most common ankle injury is a sprained ankle, but ankle pain can have numerous sources.

Ankle pain that results from traumatic injury is often thought of as sports injuries. But you don't necessarily have to be an athlete or even a social sportsperson to twist your ankle.

Foot pain and injury is extremely common. Foot pain can be sourced from local structures such as muscles, ligaments, bones and joint or it can be referred from other sources including your lower back and other systemic diseases..

Home Care

Home care (also referred to as domiciliary care, social care, or in-home care) is supportive care provided in the home. Care may be provided by licensed healthcare professionals who provide medical treatment needs or by professional caregivers who provide daily assistance to ensure the activities of daily living (ADLs) are met. In-home medical care is often and more accurately referred to as "home health care" or formal care. Often, the term home health care is used to distinguish it from non-medical care, custodial care, or private-duty care which refers to assistance and services provided by persons who are not nurses, doctors, or other licensed medical personnel. For terminally ill patients, home care may include hospice care. For patients recovering from surgery or illness, home care may include rehabilitative therapies.

Home health services help adults, seniors, and pediatric clients who are recovering after a hospital or facility stay, or need additional support to remain safely at home and avoid unnecessary hospitalization. These Medicare-certified services may include short-term nursing, rehabilitative, therapeutic, and assistive home health care. This care is provided by registered nurses (RNs), licensed practical nurses (LPN's), physical therapists (PTs), occupational therapists (OTs), speech language pathologists (SLPs), home health aides (HHAs) and medical social workers (MSWs) as a limited number of up to one hour visits, addressed primarily through the Medicare Home Health benefit.
